Showboxing with the Harborrats

Apr 9, 2010

A day after a long trip to Boston, and an evening before my parents’ visit to Seattle, was a single night off-turned night on to take the Showbox Sodo stage with Sam Russell & the Harborrats. The set was essentially the same as the Neumo’s show from a month previous, making it OK that I missed all rehearsals for this show. The big question was whether to lay low and play safe or to play “strong and wrong”. The final verdict was strong and wrong and I think I got lucky and played mostly strong and right. You can read much more in depth about the show here.

Highlights: Dressing up in wait-staff apparel. Playing with all them folk again. Hanging with Dave and Mollie’s crew.

Lowlight: Setting up while Darek Mazzone spun Newcleus’ Jam on It and subsequently edited OUT the robot rap!!!
